The Cavender Auto Family has been selling and servicing automobiles in the San Antonio area since 1939 and today is recognized as one of the leading automotive retail groups in South Texas. Because all Cavender dealerships are owner-operated, a high degree of personal accountability remains the Cavender hallmark.

"Treating you like family" continues to be the objective at Cavender Chevrolet. The Cavenders are always available for their customers and invite personal contact from them. Stuart Cavender is the Owner-Operator at the Chevy dealership and is personally available daily. To Buy or Smartbuy

SmartBuy is an affordable way for qualified customers to own a new GM vehicle. It offers a variety of advantages including:

The opportunity to drive a new car or truck more often
Low monthly payments and a final balloon payment at the end of your contract
Having a vehicle nicer than you would normally afford
Drive a new vehicle during its most trouble-free years
SmartBuy financing contract right at your GM Dealer.
Answering Questions About Your SmartBuy

What is SmartBuy?

SmartBuy is a program that enables you to own your vehicle and lower your monthly payments. Rather than paying for the entire vehicle, each month you only pay for the portion of the vehicle you expect to use. That portion is usually less.

When is the best time to get a new vehicle with SmartBuy?

Right now is the best time since selection of your vehicle is the greatest. Finding the vehicle that meets your needs is the first step, and our Sales Consultants will help. Choose the vehicle you want and pick the mileage that fits your driving habits. It's that quick and easy.

Who Benefits from SmartBuy?

SmartBuy is not for everyone. Some customers may be more likely to purchase if you:

keep your vehicles for five years or more
personalize or customize your vehicle
giving a vehicle as a gift
prefer to do your own car repairs and are not concerned with warranty
What are my choices at the end of my SmartBuy?

At the end of your contract you have several options including:

keeping the vehicle with a final balloon payment that may be refinanced
simply returning your vehicle and paying a $250 disposal fee
selling your vehicle, keeping the profit, and paying off the rest of the balance
Where can I get more information and see if I qualify?

Visit us at the dealership to discuss your situation. Check here for map, hours, and directions. We will see what options you qualify for. Our Finance Manager can answer further questions and provide additional information and brochures.

How can you lower your monthly payments?

With SmartBuy, you can take advantage of incentives like the rebates you've accumulated in the GM Card® program. Plus, you could lower your monthly payments even more by receiving top dollar for your current vehicle.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro

What Edmunds said of the 2010 Camaro in its Overview.

OK, we're going to get straight to the point here. The 2010 Chevrolet
Camaro rocks. After years of anticipation, Chevy's new Camaro not only lives up
to the hype but also redefines what a muscle car can be. The traditional
stereotype goes something like this -- the affordable base model looks fast but
goes slow due to a lumpy V6, while the V8-powered model will do apocalyptic
burnouts in the high school parking lot but can't corner to save its (or your)
life. The latest Dodge Challenger comes uncomfortably close to this archetype,
and the Ford Mustang is at least guilty on the V6 front. But this new Camaro,
well, it's an altogether different beast.

Impressively, the new Chevy Camaro is an excellent performance-car
value whether it's equipped with the base direct-injected V6 or the optional V8.
The V6-powered base Camaro can sprint to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds, thanks to 300
horsepower, yet it costs the same as competitors like the considerably slower
Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. Heck, even the V6's fuel economy is impressive
compared to its competition. The V8-powered Camaro SS with the manual
transmission dispenses with 60 mph in a blistering 5.0 seconds -- 426 hp will do
that for you -- yet it's considerably cheaper than cars like the BMW 135i and
Challenger SRT8 and outperforms the slightly more affordable Mustang GT. The
Camaro handles smartly, too, with even the base car surpassing the rarefied 68
mph mark on our slalom course.

Of course you are more then welcome to come test drive one of the many Camaro's that we have available in our new car inventory, check it out online.2010 Camaro at Cavender Chevrolet
